Air For Paws was founded by Terry Moriyama in the memory of her beloved pups Sammi and Nikki. The 2004 grassroots effort then became a non-profit organization in 2009.

It was created with the goal of getting pet oxygen masks on board every fire, police and emergency medical service rescue truck.
